If there's someone who knows acting well beyond the contours of television, it has to be Naseeruddin Shah who's also a two times National Award winner and recipient of the Padma Bhushan. The renowned actor and theatre artist made a visit to meet with all the young acting students studying the art at Asian Academy of Film and Television at Marwah Studios, a hub for film and television enthusiasts offering diverse courses in the field including Public Relations courses and advertising courses.
"Acting is an art, the more you do, more perfect you are the next time," said the veteran actor in his deep voice that's capable of transporting one into ever-expanding world of original art and wisdom."
The actor has to keep himself fit and intact all the time for the right opportunity," he added. Shah was present at Marwah Studios for a shoot while he was working for a film with a patriotic theme, directed by AS Bedi. While he was there, he expressed his thoughts and ideas about acting and articulated them to the students of AAFT, engaged in different aspects of film and TV like acting, script-writing, and even students from advertising and Public Relations courses got the opportunity to feel honored by Shah's presence at the institute.
Naseeruddin Shah has given some of the best films to Indian cinema. His best known and remembered films include Manthan, Godhuli, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kyon Ata Hai , Aakrosh, Sparsh, Hum Panch, Woh Saat Din, Masoom, Mandi, Jane bhi do Yaron, ArdhSathya, Paar, Sarfarosh and so many more.
Sandeep Marwah introduced him to the students by acknowledging his life's work. He has given exceptional performances in more than 250 films during his long and successful career as an actor.
Marwah added that Naseeruddin Shah, who is often regarded as an immaculate actor that the Indian film industry has ever seen, also has an innate passion for theatre, which is as strong as his love for cinema.
Shah met all the senior staff at the institute including the acting course director Prof Harshvardhan; Dean at AAFT, Prof KalyanSarkar; Dean at Asian School of Media Studies, Suman Bajaj Kalra; and Latika Sahani, Dean at Asian Business School.
The event ended with Sandeep Marwah presenting Naseeruddin Shah with a life membership with International Film and Television Club.
