Project Manager Others Like Us

December 2013 – March 2015

Greater Seattle Area

Others Like Us is a fashion line created by Seattle’s Union Gospel Mission to continue to serve, rescue & transforms those in greatest need.

Others Like Us started as an idea that soon got developed during an innovation weekend at the HUB in Seattle. After board approval, I volunteered to project manage this fashion line while continuing my public relations role. It’s a consumer product, not a donation. It’s sold online. As with any start-up, the team is creating a brand, messaging, and its story…

Through public relations and event efforts, OLU reached 75 percent of its revenue goal in just three weeks. Two new shirts will launch in Sept and Dec. The concept of the shirt launching in December is already getting media attention.

Manage Others Like Us from inception to launch. Currently, planning next steps with a goal of becoming a positive revenue stream for the Mission in two years.
